@agroforestry there are myriad rooting techniques I've shown here, about 2-3 years ago. They all work to some degree. I prefer sterile seed starting mix of 1/3 peat moss 1/3 perlite and 1/3 vermiculite. Sterilized by heating dampened mix to 200°F in an old microwave oven. I use cinnamon powder as antifungal (vital).

@paulinruskin once the leaves are set yellow, it seems that only new growth will be green, assuming the nutrients & pH are good.

I use alaskan fish emulsion fertilizer. Comes in gallon jugs for $20. Best thee is!

@mopoke yes, uploads are intermittent. I'll try this photo of a dead tree first, before I dare try one of a living tree....
7/1/22. Still won't upload photo...?!

@mopoke Rust fungus causes my fig tree to lose all leaves annually. They come back.

@paulinruskin maybe a tad less sun, and maybe your soil pH is too high? I'd try Black Kow composted manure as a top dressing too. That will help lower the pH. Fabric pots are tough to get to a low enough pH (5.5~6.5). They do better in ground in Florida.
I've fought chlorotic leaves too ..
its usually the pH being too high...
pH meters help reading the pH of water from the pots. This was 7.1, and adjusted to 6.2
