Legislative News

This is new, released as true per optiglitch at DISCORD:

1) There will be federal legislation filed in the next session of the Congress that will call for the lifting of the FDA Import Alert on kratom; direct the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to increase funding for kratom research; and require the FDA to issue manufacturing standards mirroring the Kratom Consumer Protection Act that has already passed in 4 states.

2) The AKA Board just approved an unprecedented lobby effort to support the introduction of the Kratom Consumer Protection Act in 21 states in 2020.

Additionally, there is tension in Indonesia as multiple government agencies are issuing “crop change” plans while other governmental agencies over there are signing agreements to secure exports, so STAY TUNED and DON’T PANIC as this is not entirely new but is more widely known.
